"At
last!" After four years roaming
around the MHL accomplishing virtually jack
squat...patiently awaiting that "golden
moment" when the coolest team of all finally
would see it's old coach leaving for other duties,
coach Bean Martin now has landed the job of his
dreams."It's
been a long time coming, but here I am...home at last!
I'm a Hawk and I'm proud!"
Bean,
a four year MHL veteran and a life-long fan of the
Blackhawks, have previously been seen behind the bench
of the Philadelphia Flyers (97/98), the Colorado
Avalanche (98/99) and the Ottawa Senators (99/00 and
00/01). The hight of his coaching career this far was
the Stanley Cup finals spot back in 1998 although his
Philadelphia Flyers lost the series against...guess
who!...Yes, that's right...the Blackhawks.
This
season (the MHL 5th anniversary season) the hopes are
high that Bean will manage to bring the team back into
the playoffs after last years' disappointment. "We
have a good core of players and we will work hard to
reach our goal. I'm well aware that we're not a cup
contender at this moment and we will keep a realistic
perspective on things, but I do believe we will make
the playoffs this year and when we do, we'll just take
it from there."
