          has done that, he sang Shooting Star in Hercules).

He has two older brothers, a younger brother and a sister.


His mother, Margaret, is a schoolteacher and his father, Martin, is a former 
painter and an interior designer. 

His grandmother lives with his parents and sleeps in his room when he's not home. 


As a kid, he wasn't allowed to hang posters on the walls of his room, so he 
drew on them instead. 

Steve was only 17 when Boyzone first started.  


He had to pass four auditions until he was accepted into the band. The other 
lads didn't have to. 

He's the shortest of the boys. Only 5"7 (1.70 meters). 


He tends to sleep with the lights and even the TV on!


During the first few months that he teamed up with Boyzone, he still worked at a 
clothing boutique in Dublin. His first fan letters were sent to the store's 
address! Keith also worked there for a brief period of time. 

He and his mother were in a small scene of the movie "The Commitments". It´s the 
second market scene in the beginning.

He has also been acting in one episode of Baywatch. 


The ideal girl for him would have to have a good personality and it wouldn't 
hurt if she was good looking as well. He says he's even willing to date a fan, 
if she suits the description.

He´s the most popular Boyzone member among the fans. He gets most letters from 
the fans. He tries to answer as much as he can. His parents have started writing 
back to the fans! He says: "Most of the letter say the same things, but I still 
     like to read them. Every time I'm at my parents' I'll sign about 20 postcards and 
     include them in the fan mail. The fans are the main reason he loves touring. 
    "I feel I'm giving them some of the love they give me."
