| When you are going to do a homepage, it is really hard to know what to write about, but a thing that made some impressions on me is to travel. So I´m gonna write about my best trip (so far), Thailand.
We traveled with Urban och Marita, two friends from Forshaga. We had just backpacks, and no lodging included, except for the last two days in Bangkok. |

| The first days we spent in Chiang Mai, a town far north in Thailand. We were determind to make a trecking-tour in the jungle. Which we also did, there were offers everywhere about different guides and companys which had tours. Since we were tired after the flight, and looking for rooms, we took the tour that was connected to the hotel we ended up in. Tim was the guide that would take us on the trip.
We asked the guide how hard it would be to take the trip, but he said that is "no worries". Ann and me are not in the best fysical shape, so we were a little worried. After a good nights sleep, we started the trip. he began to show us some local sights, as caves with bats, waterfalls and stuff like that. Then we started walking up in the mountain, we had our backpacks filled with waterbottles, and we really needed it. We walked up the mountain all day long. Ann thought it was tough, but she managed . We arrived to a little village where we should spend the night, Tim fixed some food. Then we sleeped heavily, until the roosters started their call. (at 04 AM) We had two australian girls with us on the trip, they had enjoyed themselves smoking opium together with the village chief. Sadly, they had never experienced swedish snooring, so they could´nt sleep at all. |

| We continued the next day, early in the morning. It was about 40°C already at 9 AM.Tim lead us to a school far out in the bush, We had some candy and gifts to the children, which was appriechiated. We continued our walk up the mountain. The sun was in zenit. Ann broke down and started to throw up. She refused to continue. After a little rest she began to walk again, we kept going with the difference that I was carrying her backpack to. Urban was a little worried that Marita would break down to, so he took her backpack. We walked all day, until the sun started to set. In the evening we arrived to a small waterfall and a lake. Even to this day I think that the bath in the cool water was one of the nicest experiences I ever had. The trecking continued next day with elephant-riding and rafting back to Chiang Mai. It was a more pleasent trip to walk downhill the last day. We had walked about 50km during our three days in the mountains of Chiang Mai. | ||||||||||

| The rest of our holiday continued with more "normal" activities, we needed some rest after the treckingtour. We went to Phuket for a week, sunbathing, drinking cool beers, and stuff like that. Next week we took a plane to Kho Samui, an Island in the south. Paradise! We stayed there until it was time to visit Bangkok. We had lived "on the road" for several weeks, but we had two days in Bangkok planned. It was a high-class luxury hotel with aircondition and swimmingpool. We felt as we had come back to civilization, as we know it.
I highly recommend a trip like this. Not to know where to sleep from day to day was a new way of travel for me. But thats just the point, If you don´t like a place, just move on to the next. Just Go!! |
