Lesley Abdela



Lesley Abdela is Chief Executive Officer of Project Parity, and Senior Partner in Eyecatcher Associates.

She founded the all-Party 300 Group for Women in Politics/Public Life.

This campaign helped change the gender culture in British politics, and through training programmes enabled many more women to get elected for local and national government.

Born in London, Lesley Abdela started her career as an Advertising Executive.
She then worked as a Researcher in the House of Commons and House of Lords and stood for Parliament.

In addition to her work training future women leaders, Lesley Abdela is a journalist, broadcaster, and speaker on the international circuit.

From 1993 to 1996 she was Political Editor for Cosmopolitan Magazine. She is currently Political Correspondent for Executive Woman Magazine.

Lesley Abdela is also on the board of The British Council and Nottingham Trent University.

Awards

19XX US Leader Grant awarded by the United States Government, visiting New York, Washington DC, Washington State and California meeting politicians, leaders, Foreign Policy experts, and lecturing at Rutgers, UCLA, USC and Caltech.

19XX awarded an MBE by HM The Queen, for services to Women in politics/public life.

19XX chosen United Kingdom Women of Europe.

19XX awarded an Hon DLett from Nottingham Trent University.

Lesley Abdela is Patron of NETWORK, a Member of the European Women`s Management Development Network (EWMD) and other women´s management and journalism organizations, and a Vice President of the Electors Reform Society.
