Piteå Municipality in Norrbotten.

Surface: 3086 km²

We are a town up north in Sweden about 1000 Kilometers from our main capitol Stockholm. It lays in the southern part of our municipality near the outflow of the Piteå River into the Baltic sea. We are about 41.000 people in PITEÅ. We are people of god heart, you would never find the likes of us we are the people that are always friendly and with open arms greet the visitors that comes to our city. Our town has a surten something over it, big, but never the feeling of a big town...

But its the rough translation directly to English.

Its the event where all people in PITEÅ (well almost everybody) in the hole town is out every night for a hole week just having a great time talking, drinking and have a big party in the main city...

We have performanses by great international artists like Hooters, Popsicle, Eric Bazilian, Ruth Gerson....

This is a picture over the channel that goes through our little town its wery frequently used by Boat folk in the summertime....

And its a competition every year where people from the diving club puts on a scuba gear and try to swim the distance of the channel fastest.
At the time of the event the water isnt that warm around 8-10 degrees celcius... A wery popular event.
