Technical information

The pontoons are connected by five zinkgalvanized steel beams of  100x100x6 mm. The bolts belonging to the structure are also galvanized.
The pontoons will be delivered as a complete assembly kit whit all needed parts. You will do the assembly in a few hours, depending on the platforms size.

Polyethylene (PE) is very advantageous:

Construction

The pontoons have double hull for increased strength and security. At the pontoons half length a water tight bulkhead is welded which also can be used as water tank or septic tank. Inspection wells are placed at the pontoons ends.

Calculations of bearing capacity

 1) With three pontoons and five galvanized steel beams the self contained weight is 2070 kg. 
     Bearing capacity is 9000 kg. Thus the payload* is 6930 kg.The plattform is 6x12m
2) With four pontoons and five galvanized steel beams the self contained weight is 2550 kg. 
     Bearing capacity is 12000 kg. Thus the payload* is 9450 kg.The plattform is 6x12m
3) With five pontoons and five galvanized steel beams the self contained weight is  3030 kg. 
     Bearing capacity is 15000 kg. Thus the payload* is 11970 kg.The plattform is 6x12m
*The payload is the load that makes the pontoons lie with half the diameter below the surface (~400mm).
To be Observed! The platform must not be loaded over the payload if there is any risk of the water freezing!!
