Looks
Samuel has black hair and blue eyes. His features give the impression of great knowledge but his tired eyes tells that the knowledge didn't come for free. Likes/Dislikes Samuel has a liking for old things and is always interested in aquiring an old trinket if it comes accompanied with a good story which tells something about the item. He has a special passion for ancient sculptures.
Something that can frustrate the professor is when someone do not do
their best. He has flunked more than one student for laziness, although
he didn't give that as the direct cause.
Bacause of many late nights in the lab, Samuel has come to be a late
sleeper, and it is not unusual for him to wake up in the middle of the
day.
His current project is investigating the remains of a newly discovered cult called The Order of Oon which seem to have existed in Innsmouth about a hundered years ago. The evidence that is found is a few scraps of parchment written in Latin and found in an old manor just on the edge of town. The manuscripts was in so bad shape that much of the information is no longer possible to interpret. But Samuel, through hard work, managaed to find out that it was a cult that worshipped some fantastic entity called Oon. Oon is, according to the part of the manuscript Samuel managed to translate, "...sleeping just out of the corner of your eye...". Later it is written "...with powers that can fulfill your every wish if you just can get his attention...". The manuscript ends with the words "...and so Oon draws his first breath.". When Samuel read those words he can swear that a deep resounding breath could be heard echoeing in the building. He recently got a neighbour in the attic, a young, bright, medical student which showed great interest in Samuels work. It was a long time since he had a close neighbour to talk to and especially someone interested in what he is doing. The past year has formed a solid friendship between Samuel and his neighbour, Stephen Merrell, which results in many late night discussing interesting subjects. |
