Constructed entirely from formed plastic, the VR8's finely sculpted, elegant lines herald a new dawn in the aesthetics of high performance lighting effects.

The Abstract VR8 is the first of a four model range that will satisfy all levels of application. The full range is VR4, VR8, VR12 and VR16.
The VR8 is conceived to be a product that breaks conventional attitudes to what a scanner should look like, and is destined for applications where rival scanners are just too clumsy and awkward.

The Abstract VR8 is not only the perfect lighting solution for designers of discotheques and bars, who want a lighting effect that is sympathetic to their creations; it opens completely new possibilities for exhibition, architectural, multi-media, retail and promotional lighting applications.

And uniquely, Abstract is developing a colour coating system for the VR range allowing designers to specify their scanners in a comprehensive range of vivid Pantone colours.


But beauty is far from skin deep with the Abstract VR8.

Inside the svelte casing, Abstract has incorporated a range of features more advanced and more dynamic than any other scanner of VR8 proportions, and many much larger.

The Abstract VR8 has a full digital display function that indicates configuration settings and performance parameters such as the hour usage of the powerful 150W discharge lamp, and allows full mode selection for the unit.

360 degree rotation of both the colour and gobo wheels, along with a custom gobo slot - all driven by a new generation of stepper motors, create stunning rainbow effects.

The use of a trapezoid colour system produces totally seamless movement between the 12 beautiful dichroic colours (10 colours plus white and multicolour).

The list of standard performance features and options mean a customer can truly specify a VR series scanner to meet every demand.
