ZELLO
Written by Magnus Florin

Zello, Ever heard of them? It's a constellation of six swedish musicians with directions towards progressive music. Like P-O Saether says himself in the booklet "...This album would never have seen the light of day without the inspiration from Jethro Tull, Kaipa, Kansas, UK and Yes...". Already in the two first tracks I heard what I wanted, and that was Kansas. The rest of the CD invites the listener to those other influences mentioned, not least YES and Tull.

The music is mostly comparable to Jethro Tull, and the kind of old sounding style that they've always produced. Vocals are also mostly in that direction. There are only six songs with vocals and the rest is wither instrumentals or short segues. The violins and organs are in the front of the music.

Mayby this CD will be quite hard to get for some of you out there, but if you're into stuff like the bands mentioned above, then it might be worth it. This is the first Zello album and there is another one on the way...
