A Heep album from the Bernie Shaw era. The man is actually pretty good as a vocalist, but I think he misses the emotion that both David Byron and John Lawton had. He sure sounds like a Heep vocalist though, and the album "Raginng Silence" is not a bad one. The best track on the album is without any doubt "Blood Red Roses". Others worth mentioning would be "Rich Kid", "Cry Freedom" and "When The War Is Over".
Another difference from the old era is that Phil Lanzon is there on the keyboards instead of Ken Hensley. Phil does a good job, I guess but most of the Heepsters want Ken to be in the band. Either you get this album or you don't, completely up to you. It's got some good songs and a great band feel.
