Well, this is a bit away from the progressive rock scene, but indeed with
similar quality and feel. It's a lot as if Toto met Asia and found out that
they could work together. Songs are indeed very easy listening and with
great choruses. The thing I like the most about the CD is that Simon Apple
don't just stand there with the slowest beat and tried to do a cool guitar
solo. Instead, they march on with attitude and confident feel. The vocals
are a lot, and then I mean a lot, like Steve Lukather. To not mention that
name in this review would be a shame, since Simon Apple really sounds a lot
like Lukathers solo albums. I guess these guys know their Toto. The correct
label on the music would probably be Progressive AOR West Coast, or
something like that. Great musicians with a great feel for what they're
doing, and that's exactly as it should be.
