Here you have a French-Canadian keyboard wizard, who has a whole arsenal of various keyboards to his help, for example: pipe organ, Hammond, harpsichord, piano, and multiple synths. It took Redjy Emond two years to compose, program, finance and produce the album "Sphere". Two years that in retrospect seems to have been worthwhile. Rick Wakeman and Keith Emerson seem to be the main influences together with classical composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach and Moussorgsky. The two Swedes Pär Lindh and Bo Hansson are a close comparison too. The album is instrumental with fifteen tracks that mix 70's progressive rock with classical music.

The only thing to wish for is a real bass player and percussionist. That would have done this album worth a top rating. However Redjy compensate this in his very talented and masterful playing that makes you forget all that. The production is very good too.

My favourite tracks are "Impact" (here's some Pär Lindh comparisons) and the four-track suite "Ancestral".

I warmly recommend this album to all of you who's into Emerson Lake & Palmer as well as Rick Wakeman.
