SEEDS OF CHANGE
Written by Magnus Florin

The first solo album from Kerry livgren, the man behind most of Kansas hits. Carry on Wayward Son, Hold On, The Wall. The list is endless. As he says himself on the album, Seeds of Change was a fulfillment of many of his dreams. He says he got the chance of working with a lot of people he has always admired. There are a lot of vocalists on the album. Among them are Ronnie James Dio and Steve Walsh, two of my main favourites. Ronnie appears on track 2 and 5. This album has also made me discover David Pack and Jeff Pollard.

The introducing tune Just One Way is a song similar to the old Kansas style, but with a glimpse of gospel feel to it. It's one of those songs that really can cheer you up. The strongest track on the album is Ground Zero, I think. The vocals are done by David Pack, and that is mainly the reason why i like it. Kerry has always had that ability, to write heart touching melodies and phrases.

About all the musicians on Seeds of Change. The below listed are really only some of them, since there are several background singers, percussion, harmoinca and trumpet players. It's obvious that Kerry took time to do some experiments with this album. An look how good it came out.
