CREPUSCULE
Written by Greger Rönnqvist

It's been 3 years since the last Infra CD and I thought that they had gone into oblivion, but now they're back with their third release. They have changed label with every album, from Mellotronen, through Garageland to The Wild Places. The Wild Places whom also got Cauldron on their label. Infra is not as psychedelic as Cauldron and that's why I like Infra better than Cauldron. The band is from Umeå, Sweden, a town that is known for its musical life. I have followed Infra since the release of their debut 4-track CD EP "Infrangible Time" in 1995 and I must say that it has been a pleasant journey.

Their music is progressive psychedelic rock, with the emphasis on psychedelic. I can't really compare them to any other band, but maybe you could imagine a mix between Cauldron, The Doors, Höyry-Kone, King Crimson, Landberk, Shades Of Orange and The Spacious Mind. This album is almost as good as the previous. The highlights are "Eremita's Leap", "Quasi Dim" and "Aggressively Normal".

If you like psychedelic music, I think that Infra is one of the better bands in the genre.
