MODERN CATHEDRAL
Written by Greger Rönnqvist

Modern Cathedral was released on a small record company, MM records in Umeå, Sweden. In late 1997 they were signed by Nuclear Blast and they decided to release Modern Cathedral with a new cover. Release date 5.1.1998.

Hollow describes the album this way: "The new album, Modern Cathedral, is the second from Hollow. The title alludes to the idea of music as a kind of sanctuary, an escape from everyday life."

Hollow is a band from Umeå, Sweden. They are drawing influences from the classic '80's heavy metal bands such as Judas Priest and Queensrÿche. The singer sounds very much like Geoff Tate from Queensrÿche. I think that if you like Queensrÿche you will like Hollow as well. Even though Queensrÿche are more progressive than Hollow, this album is more progressive then their debut mini-CD. Here you can find many great tunes such as "Lies" and "Wounds".
