ESCAPE THRU THE LINES
Written by Greger Rönnqvist

Headline is a French progressive band that was formed in October 1993, and exactly five years later their second album "Escape Thru the Lands" is here. All musicians on this album are very professional and the female vocalist has a very good voice. She reminds a little bit of the vocalist in the French band Sandrose, who made a classic LP in 1973. This album contains mostly acoustic instruments and one track contains oriental influences. Headline can be compared to groups as Superior and Hydra but without electric instruments.

Two of Headlines influences are Queensryche and Yes, and on this album they are doing acoustic versions of Queensryche's song "Silent Lucidity" and Yes "Changes", and they are doing it very well too.
