This is a band of which we don't hear a lot in the press. But I'm taking care of my own business in this matter, because I have the
album "The Edge" to listen to. It's absolutely great! It's a concept album about the thin line between good and bad, heaven and hell or
life and death.
When you see the thin line as the edge between these two factors, the album title is explained. The sound of the album is very good,
although it's produced by the band itself, which isn't always a guarantee for the best result. The album is full of heavy progmetal with
a lot of atmosphere in every song. The vocals of Keith Sudano are very good, it's in my opinion one of the best singers in the scene.
He lies different emotions in every song. My personal favorite track is called "The Confession". It's about a man who murders priests
during confession as a result of the rape and murder of his own daughter by a priest. The singing sends shivers down your spine and
makes you feel and understand the rage in this matter. The album lasts 74 minutes, and I don't like only 30 seconds of it. In these 30
seconds you hear a ladies choir singing in a very false way (I think it's meant to be like that, but they give me the wrong shivers). But
as a whole: absolutely great!
