MY OWN REVOLUTION
Written by Greger Rönnqvist

Dyslesia was founded in 1986 and started out as a Heavy Trash band. Nowadays their music has turned towards progressive speed metal. This is their debut CD. Their influences are Helloween and Queensryche. Unfortunately you get the impression that the singer Thierry Lebourg is trying to hard to sound like both Michael Kiske and Geoff Tate. Thierry's high-pitched vocals are excellent on some tracks, but he can't keep in tune as good as for example Michael Kiske.

Besides Helloween and Queensryche there's also reminiscences to Angra, Edguy, Iron Maiden, Rhapsody and Stratovarius. The highlights are "My Own Revolution" and "Fallen Angels".

The CD booklet is very nice and looks very expensive. It also contains the lyrics to every song. It looks like Brennus really believes in this band. This is a convincing debut and I believe that Dyslesia has the potential to develop further with their next release.

MY OWN REVOLUTION
Written by Magnus Florin

To describe Dyslesia and their music I'll say like this: "Great speed metal sounding band with extremely high pitching vocals". This is what it's all about it seems, but Dyslesia has also added some mighty choirs and good melodies in these and guitars. A favourite track on this album fo me is, "Never More", where all the above mentioned is shown. I guess all in this band have heard old Helloween, just as any other speed metal act, and I can hear some Kiske in the vocalists voice (which is for sure and without any doubt a positive thing). This album is also started with a short intro, which melts into first song "My Last Wish" which brings a great feel to the album right from ths start. Check it!
