"Quest for Truth" is an all-instrumental electronic debut solo
album from the talented keyboard player of Indeed. It was written,
produced and performed by Brian Hirsch with the exception of track
1, 2 and 4 where there's a lead guitar played by Rob Wessel. This
is a concept album and it is said to tell a fantasy story of Good
vs. Evil.
The music is a mix between melodic Classical and New Age Music,
Emerson Lake & Palmer, Alan Parson Project, Tangerine Dream,
Vangelis, Rick Wakeman and all of those relaxation CDs that is
overflowing the music market right now. This music would make a
nice soundtrack to a movie. Brian Hirsch is somewhat reminiscent
to the keyboard player Tony Gerber for those of you who is
familiar with him.
As usual with this type of music it's hard to pick out any
specific tracks as they work better as a whole. Possible
highlights would maybe be "Journey to the Highest Realm", "Attack
of the Sea Dragon" and "The Impassable Tempest".
If you like this album you also have to check out Indeed's album
"Inter-Dimensional Space Commander".
