ANGEL'S CRY
Written by Magnus Florin

The album that made the world realize that Angra was a great band. The legendary "Carry On" was spoken of as a superb speed-metal song, with the sound of Helloween. Of course Angra is a much better band if you look at it in a technical perspective, but no one can compete with the old Helloween. In the beginning when I listened to this album I found it quite uninteresting, with the exception of tracks 2, 5 and 7. Today, those are the tracks that really are the best, but I later learned to appriciate the others to.

I guess "Carry On" is the best after all, even if I mainly enjoy listening to the Kate Bush cover "Wuthering Heights" the most. "Stand Away" is also a strong one, written by Rafael Bittencourt. Even if Matos does the main writing part of Angra, and his songs are really good, I always seem to like the stuff that Bittencourt puts out. It's been like that on all the following releases.
