The mission of this company is to develop software and to produce IT services with high quality. This applies both for the product itself, and for the process of development. To achieve this, a process model is applied to the process. The process model states that certain documents shall be produced and delivered to the customer. The first document, Development Plan, "DP" is produced and approved by the customer, before the development starts. It states the complete development phase of the product, functionality, cost, delivery date, and the maintenance plan.
The documents produced according to the process model:
- Development Plan: Specifies the overall development plan.
- Requirement Specification: The functionality is stated here.
- Design Specification: The overall design is stated here.
- Test Specification: The test procedure is stated here.
- User Guide: Describes how to use, configure the product.
When the DP is approved by the customer, the development starts. Usually some prototyping is done, trying different designs that insures high quality of the final product.
