This is my Art and Pictures page. When it comes to art, it presently features the amazing visionaries Hieronymus Bosch, H.R. Giger and Salvador Dalí. I'm a great fan of surrealism, and I also believe that to excel in this genre, the artist certainly has to be a bit nuts. That is true for all artists on this page, except myself, I hope =). Please choose one of the categories available here:

Wow! It's a new photo for my picts page! This sure is a gem; it's poor quality, distorded, discoloured and crap in every way. What it depicts? Why, my beloved classmates, when we were newcomers to Katte back in 1995! (No, I'm not telling which one's me. You'll have to guess!)

I have Jakob Borg to thank for this picture.
Check out these pictures to get a flavour the unique work of this artist. Keep in mind that these were painted or drawn during the late 15th and early 16th century! Bosch was a visionary of unmatched proportions, sometimes surpassing even a master like Salvador Dalí, long before the word surrealism was invented. Their objectives were very different though, and they lived in very different worlds. Hieronymus Bosch was, like every other European during the Dark Ages, heavily influenced by the Christian religion. Well, I'll let the images speak for themselves.
For biographies and more images, try the Art links on my links page. The Jérome Bosch page has so nice images that I felt compelled to put a link to it here too. The images there show all the fascinating details, but there is a downside: they take ages to download.

This is my favourite Dalí picture, but unfortunately this bitmap is a bit small. Like most of Dalí's works, it has a wonderfully absurd name to go with it's surrealistic motif.

If you want to read something about H.R. Giger, try this biography1. You may also want to read what I think about Giger's images, and what they mean to me. Or you can take a look at some images first. If you want more pictures than I offer here, and there sure are a lot more on the net, try the Art links on my links page.

1. It seems this link does not work right now. The Biography link on the Official H.R. Giger page just leads to an advert for the Biomechanoid picture.
