"For me this is the car...I think this is the best four door car in the world"
Paul Frere, Road Track, September 1991
The aim of Alpina in producing the B10 Biturbo was to set new standards of motoring safety, performance, comfort and culture in the rarified market of super-car.

The basis of the BMW Alpina B10 Biturbo is the BMW 535i -undisputely one of the best cars in it´s class; it combines perfectly with Alpina´s vast experience of producing powerful turbo charged engines.

The BMW Alpina B10 Biturbo offers the following;

The six cylinder in-line Biturbo engine with it´s perfect mass balance, smooth running and almost unlimited performance provides the opportunity to produce a remarkably refined automobile, vastly superior to any V-8 engine and at least as good as any V-12 unit.
This is the powerful twin-turbo engine, originally from BMW 535i. This engine proves Alpina´s vast experience of producing powerful turbo-charged engines. This powerhouse will produce 360 HP which are easily chip-tuned to 440 HP.

The standard ASC (Automatic Stability Control) prevents instability caused by excessive torque at rear axle on poor road surfaces or in bad weather. This could be turned off if the driver wish to excperience wheel spin....: )

The interiour of the B10 BiTurbo is a mix of sport and luxury. This model is equipped with the standard no leather seats. The blue and green stripe that are on the seats and the door linings is the colours of Alpina. All Alpina cars have -as BMW M models- red needels for the dials. The steeringwheel is origanlly made by Momo but is hand stitched in finest leather by Alpina.

The BMW Alpina B10 Biturbo is endowed with excellent aerodynamics. Despite the wide wheel / tyre combination, the cd-value remains at 0,32. The lift at fron and rear axles is minimal due to the discrete but effective front spoiler and rear wing.

A consequence of the car´s high mechanical and aerodynamic efficiency is a somewhat academic top speed of more than 290 km/h (181 mph). This is matched with a exceptional for a vehicle weighing 1695 kg.

Under all conditions, the car is controlled by Lucas-Girling four pot fixed calliper brakes, huge 332 mm ventilated front brake discs and of course a ABS system.

While driving in conditions of low ambient temoerature a engine torque of 550 Nm is acheived. The torque is transmitted from the engine via a totally new 5-speed manual, developed by Getrag, developed especially for this car.

Beautiful features like polished wood and silver plated dash board plaque match practical equipment such as air conditioning and a 119 litre fule tank.

This silver plaque identifies this car as the 9th of a total of 507 produced.
Notice the Alpina emblem in the middle.

The BMW Alpina B10 Biturbo is not merely a means of transport. It wil make the owner feel proud and confident that his investmenthas provuide d him with a car more satosfying and unique than any he has owned before.

This B10 is equipped with the no-cost option Alpina stripes. The stripes are available in silver or in gold. The cd value remains 0,32 thanks to a discrete front and rear spoiler. A BMW M5 driver should watch out if he´s behind a car with this model designation. It would both accelarate faster and have a higher top speed.

There was 507 Biturbos built in total. There are no examples of this superb car in the USA. The 507 Biturbos are spread around in Europe (About five in Sweden).
