Popular boardgame for 2-4 players about exploring the jungle after the mayans. Each player is the director of an expedition and the object is to score points by recovering treasures and control temples.
On every turn you can do a lot of things, but everything costs and you only have a small "budget" so you you have to carefully select your actions. There is no dice in the game but cards are drawn randomly (but in a little "fixed" order) so it's no that much luck involved. The game is easy to learn and like Settlers each player has a card that shows all options available.
Tikal is located in an impenetrable jungle in northern Guatemala. It is the most important and largest of all Mayan sites. The Mayans lived in Tikal from 600 BC to 900 AD, but little is known, as of this writing only a small fraction of the site has been excavated and investigated.
