KISKEE-DEE

This kite comes from Trinidad and got it's name from small and quick bird that is common in Trinidad. It's a very vivid and funny kite to fly. The tail is needed for stability but has to be in a light material. This kite is a light wind kite that can be adjusted for different behavior by moving the bridle point downward to make it more vivid or upward to make more stable. Kiskee-dee has a lot in common with the Indian fighter kite.

1. Draw the lines and cut out.

2. Cut 2 sticks, 14" and 15" long and attach them as described bellow.

3. Make a 4" long loop for the tail.

4. Turn the kite over and decorate the frontside.

5. Put some pieces of tape as reinforcement where the bridle is attached. The lower point should be about 4" from the lower end.

6. Make the bridle of a 3 feet long string.

7. The tail should be around 12 feet in total. Put it through the loop so it will be folded into two tails each about 6 feet and fix it with a piece of tape.

8. Now you can attach your kite line to the bridle and let the kite fly..
