This is what I have so far: Carl Emanuel Ljungberg born March 26,
1853
in Vesterland. Have birthplace in parish Rok (2 dots over the
o). Rok
was called Alvastra after 1952 which is in Lysing District,
Ostergotland. ???? Next films were in Stora Mellosa which list his

mother and sibling, and then Maria , Stockholm district. Or the
other
way around. Those are the two films I've lost !
Marriage: Carl Emanuel Ljungberg from Brannkyrka and Hilda Sophia
Johanson (born June 26 1857) of Lugnet (Sickla parish) were
married on
Feb 27 1881 in Sickla parish, Stockholm Co. After marriage they
moved to
Brannkyrka.
They both had moved around a lot from where they were born. I
figured I
could work backwards from Brannkyrka to get the names of his
parents and
siblings. I know NOTHING of that, When he died May, 1915, his
obituary
said he left a sister in Denison, Iowa (next to Illinois) and two
brothers in Sweden. I don't know where to go from here, where to
write
for information, etc.
We have done the complete family tree for Hilda from way back to
the
present except we lost track of one of her sisters (Lovisa) who
ended up
in Chicago. Married name unknown. Was hoping she might show on the

wedding record. She went back to Hogsby, Kalmar where the family
was
origanally from, but no record of her there.Their mother went to
live
with Lovisa in Chicago and have funeral bill for mother but who
can
find a Johanna Johansson out of hundreds in Chicago!! Hilda was a
cook
on a ship out of Stockholm just before she married. An older
sister Ida
was also but she was lost at sea. Do you know of a way of getting
any
records on that?
Mainly, I'm interested in Carl Ljungberg. I would greatly
appreciate any
suggestions!
