X Disophyllum hybrids

Disophyllum 'Arlene'
WC (JP) 1991. 'Royce' x (Disocactus x hybridus 'Ackermannii' x Marentha', unknown). Innermost tepals claret rose with rhodamine pink stripe, next row rhodamine pink with claret rose edges, third row amaranth pink; outer tepals greenish yellow with thin red margins. Stamens cascade, style pink. L.

 

Disophyllum 'California Wheel'
FB (HST) 1990. D. macranthus x unknown.
White inner tepals first day, pink next day; outer tepals golden tan. Stamens and style pink. Very fragrant. SM.

 

Disophyllum 'Delicate Jewels'
WC (HKS) Commercial seed from park. Rose with a tint of Fuchsia.. Starsheped funnel form. XS.

Parentage not recorded but probably a  Disocactus nelsonii-cross and tentatively placed here.

 

Disophyllum 'Fern la Borde
WC (HKS) Commercial seed from park. Fuchsine pink with darker midstripe. Starsheped funnel form. XS.

Parentage not recorded but obviously a Disocactus or Disophyllum and tentatively placed here.

 

Disophyllum 'Frühlingsgold'
KP#131 1990. D. macranthus 'Glaucocladus' x 'Reward' Yellow with dark yellow outer tepals. All tepals narrow, single loose, funnel form. Fragrant. Thick flat growth. SM.

 

Disophyllum 'Lisa Marie'
RJC 1989. D. phyllanthoides x 'Red Ruby'. Medium pink with dark pink edge, throat white. Outer tepal dark pink, slight orange cast. Stamens scascade, style white. Double cup and saucer shape. M.

 

Disophyllum 'Lotto'
FB/WC (GDE) 1992. 'Naranja' x 'Clarence Wright'
Solid yellow with tannish yellow outer tepals. Wheel-shaped wide form. Flat and triangular basket growth. M.
This hybrid passes sometimes as 'Yellow Belle', an unregistred name.

'Naranja' is supposed to be a hybrid with Lepismium (Rhipsalis) monacanthum, but this is probably erraneous and should be Disocactus (Pseudorhipsalis) macranthus. These names have been confused several times, even by experts.

 

Disophyllum 'Mormor'
BHM 1978. Solid carmine-rose. Rounded tepals overlap in double formation. SM.
Obviously derived from Disocactus phyllanthoides.

 

Disophyllum 'Peaches 'n Cream'
WC (HST) 1984. unknown x (Disocactus phyllanthides x 'Rhodamine'). Light yelow, second day honey and pink half way up inner tepals. Ovelapping cup and saucer.Flat basket growth. S.

 

Disophyllum 'Petey Kelly'
WC (HKS). 'Naranja' self-cross. Light yellow; outer tepals reddish yellow. Wheel form, opens wide. Tall flat growth. M

Disophyllum 'Serena Reese'
WC (EW) 1986. ('Hazel Ruppe' x Disocactus aurantiacus var. bloomianus) x ('Balzon' x 'Pink Jeroma'). Light pink with dark pink midstripe; deep dark pink throat; outer petals dark pink, many stamens. Style pinkish red. Single loose wide form. Flat compact thick  basket growth. M.

WC (HST). 'City Lights' x 'Delicate Jewels'. Light cream, narrow cerice-melon margins; outer tepals melon-margined, light midstripe. Overlapping funnel form. Flat basket growth. S.
