Disocactus cultivars

Disocactus x hybridus (Géel) W. Barthlott (1991) Bradleya 9:88
'Ackermanni'

SIM 1887. D. phyllanthoides x D. speciosus. Red or orange, Stems flat or triangular, often with spines. Frequently confused with the species D. ackermannii - former Nopalxochia ackermannii. There is an albino form named 'Ackermannii Hybridus forma Albus' which has white inner tepals and pink outer tepals.

'Mallisonii'
D. flagelliformis x D. speciosus. Red to rhodamine purple with ribbed stems. M. One of the so called "Aporophyllums".

 

 

Disocactus 'Discovery'
Clive Innes (D. martianus x D. phyllanthoides).
Relatively short, angled stems, bright clear orange flowers up to 7 cm across. Each flower last several days. Outer tepals recurved.

 

 

Disocactus 'Frühlingsanfang'
KP #110. 1984. D. macranthus 'Glaucocladus' x D. nelsonii. Violet-rose with bronze-red outer tepals. Style violet to cream.

 

 

Disocactus 'Lisa Marie'
RJC 1989. D. phyllanthoides x 'Red Ruby'. Medium pink with dark pink edge, throat white. Outer tepal dark pink, slight orange cast. Stamens scascade, style white. Double cup and saucer shape. M.

 

   

Disocactus 'Märzonne'
KP#111 1987. D. macranthus x D. phyllanthoides. Light pink deepining to dark pink, small tepals, trumpet shaped form. Fragrant. Image by KP.

 

Disocactus 'Pinky'
