Who I am

My name is Khosrow Chavoshi Khamenei, and i was born in 1946, in Tehran the capital city of Iran.

1956-1962 I studied matematics in Tehran's Hakimnezami high school.

In 1964 I entered The College of Economics and Political Science at the National University of Iran and I got my BS degree in national economies in the beginning of 1969. In March I got my first job in the National Steel Company of Iran in Isfahan. I worked there for 3 and half years as an assistant to the wearhouse managers.

In 1972 I resigned and returned to Tehran, and I soon got a new job as an economy expert in The Organization of Non-Farm Activities in the Ministry of Cooporative and Rural Affairs. The organization's main role was to create and increase jobs and income opportunities for the rural population, particularly in the non-farm season. The idea to establis O.N.F.A. was part of a recommendation package from the United Nation's factfinding mission to Iran (1968) after a land reform, and therefore it was supported by ILO, FAO and UNDP.

1978-79 I worked with The Company of the Development of Comercial Services as general director of the administration, and from 1980 I was general director of the budget and planning in the O.N.F.A.

1981-84 I worked with Yekom Engineering Consultancy as an economy expert. Its major studies were irrigation, food and nutrition, agro-based industry and fishery. Finally, during the years 1985-86, I was the representative of the Iranian Fisheries Company in the Board of Directors of the Iranian Fonds for Fishery Studies.

Since April 1988 I have lived in Sweden.
