Björk at "Vega", Copenhagen, 20/11/97

Björk performed 7 songs from "Homogenic" ("Hunter", "Jóga", "Bachelorette", "All neon like", "Immature", "Pluto"), 4 songs from "Post" ("Hyperballad", "You've been flirting again", "Isobel", "Possibly maybe") and 4 songs from "Debut" ("Human behaviour", "Venus as a boy", "Come to me" and "Violently happy") during her set. All the time she was accompanied by 8 string players and Mark Bell and truly the band set-up affected the set-list a lot. Her performance lasted only 1h and 20 minutes. She didn't say anything to the audience except from "thanks" in Danish a few times. Björk seemed extremely shy (or maybe she was sad). During "Venus as a boy" she was hiding behind Mark Bell as if she didn't want the audience to look at her while singing that song. Overall the concert was great, anyway. Her voice sounded brilliant and she looked gorgeous, wearing the same pink dress as in the "Bachelorette"-video. The songs sounded quite similar to the album-versions, except from "Violently happy", which was a lot more drum 'n' bass-like and "Jóga" which was performed only by Björk and the string octet. Very beautiful, indeed. Björk made it an unforgettable evening.
