Björk "There's more to life than this"

"I went to a party with this big, exciting girl who I really liked and she was a bit daring, and I kind of sneaked off with her. So we got drunk together by the harbour and had a really good time". That incident influenced Björk to write this quite traditional dance-track about club-life in general. It's the only track with a traditional four-to-the-floor techno beat on the "Debut"-disc. What's more special about the song is the arrangement. The song was recorded live in a small room and in the toilet of a club called The Milk Bar. The noises you hear in the background are noises rom the people in the club.

The words

Come on girl
Let's sneak out of this party
It's getting boring
There's more to life than this
It's still early morning
We could go down to the harbour
And jump between the boats
And see the sun come up

We could nick a boat
And sneak off to this island
I could bring my little ghettoblaster
There's more to life than this
But then we'd have to rush back
To the town's best baker
To get the first bread of the morning
There's more to life than this
