"Possibly maybe" is about the affair Björk once had with Stephane Sednaoui. It starts with "Your flirt finds me out/teases the crack in me/smittens me with hope" and ends with "Since we broke up/I'm using lipstick again/I suck my tongue/In remembrance of you". She recorded the song on the Bahamas during the "Post"-session and Nelleh Hooper produced it. It's Björk's gloomiest (and probably finest) piece of work.
"Possibly maybe" became the album's fifth single, but it wasn't released
until November 1996. It was released as three CD EPs with lots of remixes
by drum 'n' bass-artists such as Dillinja and Photek, as well as two live-tracks
and "Visur vatnsenda-rosu", a cover of an Icelandic folk-song, Björk
recorded together with clarinet player Renault Pion for the compilation "Hector
Zazou's songs from the cold seas". Here's a picture from the really great
video which was directed for the song.

Your flirt finds me out Possibly maybe probably love
As much as I definitely enjoys solitude Possibly maybe probably love
Uncertainty excites me Probably maybe possibly love
Mon petit volcano Possibly maybe probably love
Electric shocks? Possibly maybe probably love
How can you offer me love like that? Possibly maybe probably love
