Björk "The modern things"

Björk wrote "The modern things" on a train back in 1992 when she travelled to see Graham Massey. They recorded the song together during the "Post"-session. "The modern things" was dedicated to all the people who thought Björk sold her soul when she stopped making guitar-driven music and all the people who says there's no soul in computer-made music. "The modern things" and "Army of me" were performed first time at some of the gigs during the "Debut"-tour.

The words

All the modern things
Like cars and such
Have always existed

They've just been waiting in a mountain
For the right moment

Listening to the irritating noises
of dinosaurs and people
Dabbling outside

All the modern things
Have always existed
They've just been waiting

To come out
And multiply
And take over

It's their turn now
