Björk "Big time
sensuality"
The lyrics to "Big time sensuality" hasn't got anything to do with sex, though they're quite passionate. The song is about Björk's feelings for her working-partner and co-producer Nelleh Hooper. "I think it's quite rare, when you're obsessed with your job, as I am, when you met someone who's your other part jobwise and enables you to do what you completely want", Björk explained.
"Big time sensuality" was one of the last songs Björk wrote for the "Debut"-album and it was originally planned to be the first single. It became the third single-release of the album and got delayed because of "Play dead", Björk's contribution to "Young Americans" "Big time sensuality" was released as two CD EPs just like "Venus as a boy". The first disc contains two more Elgar Sisters-songs: "Sídasta Ég" (can be translated as "The last of me" in the meaning of "The last copy of me"), "Glóra" (an instrumental Björk flute solo) and The Black Dog's remix of "Come to me". The second CD contains three mixes of "Big time sensuality" by Fluke, two by Justin Robertson, one by Dom T and one by David Morales (no less than seven mixes in total!). There was also an Elektra-release containing the most interesting tracks of these two singles. Björk liked one of the Fluke-mixes so much, she decided to create the video for that track instead of the original version. A video was directed for the song by Stephanie Sednaoui, who became Björk's new boyfriend after Dom T. The video brings us four minutes of Björk jumping around on the back of a lorry. Weird but cute....here are two stunning stills.

The words
I can sense it
It takes courage to enjoy it
We just met
It takes courage to enjoy it
I don't know my future after this weekend
It takes courage to enjoy it |
