Björk "The anchor song"

Björk recorded her first version of this song., called "Um amir" in 1990 together with three Icelandic brass-players and it became the B-side on the "Aeroplane"-demo she sent to Graham Massey in 1990. She wrote the song in the summer of 1990 on her vacination when she travelled around Iceland and visited all the churches built by each farm settlement on the country-side. She asked to play the church-organ in every church she visited and against expectations, her requests were always granted and she played uninterupted for hours in each church. She wrote quite a lot of songs and "The anchor song" is one of the songs she finished.
