Germany declared war on Poland and disrupted a lot of Poles. 2 assaults resulted in 3 Polish INF lost, and 1 shattered. No German units lost or disrupted.

Then the Poles responded by sending out the Polish destroyer flotilla against the two German cruisers Deutschland and Graf Spee. Deutschland was sunk, and Graf Spee was chased away, in return for partial losses for the destroyers.

Having overcome the initial confusion of the German surprise attack, the Polish air force shot down a German Do-17z in the second impulse. One assault resulted in 1 Polish CAV lost and 1 INF shattered. No German units lost or disrupted.

In the third impulse there was an assault on Warsaw, destroying 1 Polish INF and disrupting the German assault force. Then the turn ended at the first opportunity.

France and the Commonwealth declared war on Germany. British ships sunk two German convoys in the North Sea. Surprising the Germans, French troops assaulted out of the Maginot line, destroying 2 German INF and 1 MTN while taking no losses. Polish infantry, having reorganized in Gdansk, took Königsberg, which was undefended, and forced a number of German air units to rebase out of its path.

Italy declared war on Yugoslavia, assaulting and destroying one Yugoslavian INF in the mountains. The Polish air force once again struggled bravely, going up against four German bombers and one fighter. The battle ended with the Polish in control of the skies, having downed a Stuka and driven off the rest.

German troops assaulted Lille, destroying a French AT. An assault on Lodz resulted in 1 Polish and 1 German INF lost.

The Yugoslavian destroyer flotilla entered the Eastern Mediterranean, but failed to find the lone Italian transport there. English paratroopers and an infantry division took Antwerpen in a combined attack from the air and from the sea. French troops attacked north out of the Maginot line, trading 1 German INF for a French, and advancing. They also attacked south-west of Brussels, destroying a German INF and ARM and trapping von Rundstedt in Brussels.

Germany responded by destroying one French INF and one Polish INF.

Polish infantry, having taken Königsberg, overran a German Do-17p, killing the pilot. French troops entered an undefended Munich. The German Wehrmacht is stretched very thin.

German troops assaulted Lodz, destroying the Polish INF defending it. Now the noose has closed on Warsaw. Italian troops assaulted a Yugoslavian CAV in the mountains, destroying it while losing 1 INF.

The Polish infantry continued its rampage, overrunning a German Bf 110c and a Hs-123. French troops launched a blitz attack on the woods south-east of Aachen, trading 1 French INF for a German. They also assaulted Brussels, trading 2 French INF for 1 German INF and von Rundstedt. Brussels is still held by a single German INF.

German troops assaulted Warsaw, taking it easily, despite a heavy Polish defense consisting of two INF led by Rydz-Smigly.

Fortunately for Germany, the turn then ended, after exactly four impulses each. Otherwise they would have lost another two air units to the rampaging Polish infantry. French troops ended in control of Munich, Saarbrücken and all of Belgium except for Brussels and Antwerpen.

The conquest of Poland resulted in one Polish INF becoming German.

The Yugoslavian destroyer Dalmacia sinks one Italian convoy point, but is then sunk by an Italian Z506b.

The German INF in Brussels attacks a French INF in Lille, destroying it, but perishes itself in the attempt.

French troops enter Brussels. A single French INF attacks Guderian in Düsseldorf, across the Rhine. Both perish in the ensuing battle, leaving Düsseldorf in German hands.

Japan declares war on the Netherlands and invades Java south of Surabaya. Italian troops attack and destroy a Yugoslavian INF in the mountains south-east of Trieste.

USSR declares war on Hungary, surprising the entire world. "Hold out. We're coming," says Molotov to the beleaguered Yugoslavians.

A Dutch cruiser enters the South China Sea in search of Japanese shipping. It finds the convoy and evades the Japanese naval air, but fails to cause any damage.

French troops begin a hasty withdrawal from Germany.

German armored troops rushing back from Poland attack a French INF on the southern German border, sending it into full retreat, but one German INF is lost in the process.

The CW treaty offer to the US consists of the CW receiving 4 oil each turn. Unfortunately for the British, the US cannot muster enough political will to accept.

German troops attack in the Schwarzwald. The air battle ends with one Stuka downed, and no ground support for either side. On the ground, one French INF is destroyed.

A Dutch cruiser enters the Java Sea, but fails to find the Japanese naval units in the area.

Japanese troops assault and take Batavia, incurring no losses. Italian troops assault Belgrade, trading 2 Italian INF for a Yugoslavian INF and HQ.

Another Dutch cruiser enters the Bismarck Sea, but is chased away by a Japanese cruiser.

Japan declares war on France, and lands troops in New Caledonia as well as French Indo-China. Italian troops assault Belgrade again, desperate to crush all resistance before the Soviet troops cross the border. The only result is the loss of one more Italian INF.
