Title: "Striptease EP"
Format: 7" vinyl
Songs: Striptease, Sonic Soul, Born To Loose, Sonic Reducer
Info: This is the Cowboys` first vinyl experience, released by the australian label
Mondo Bizarro Records. With it`s cool artwork
and totally rockin` songs,
this is a really cool wax.
The first three song are from the "Hell Of
A Noise" demo, but re-recorded
in an even faster and more distorted way and
along with the Dead Boys-cover
Sonic Reducer (that makes Pearl Jam`s version
sound like it`s a
Tom Jones-cover), it`s definitely worth
checking out!
You can buy your copy from the band themselves
or from Mondo
Bizarro Records (See the Links-section), but
hurry while it`s still available!!!!
Title: "The Space Cowboys"
Format: Tape
Songs: Devil`s Move, Kick Her Loose, Electronic Therapy, Vacant Boy,
Magnet Queen, Sonic Reducer
Info: As we say in Sweden: "Nu har grabbarna fan visat var skåpet ska stå!".
The term actionrock is definetely appropriate
here, 6 songs of raw
punkrock power.
This is the heaviest release ever from the
threepiece, maybe it`s Ted`s
basslines that does the job......
This HAS to be Sweden`s punkiest rockband, or
rockiest punkband, whatever.
If the band continues in this fashion they will
never disappoint anyone,
go get it now!
Title: "Hässleholm 990326"
Format: Live Show
Songs: Striptease, Electronic Therapy, Vacant Boy, Magnet Queen, Kick Her Loose,
Ghost Of A Smile, Born To
Loose, American Dream, Get Out Now,
Devil`s Move, Sonic Reducer
Info: What`s the matter with kids today?? Markan put on a free show with 3 bands,
The Space Cowboys as headliners, but still no more than 50-60
people
showed up!
The support bands didn`t draw much attention from the pepsi drinking, pinball
playing audience, most kids were
there for the headliners.
When The Cowboys were announced and came on stage anyone could tell that they have really
grown as a live band, this was Ted`s 3rd.show, but it seems they`ve played together for
ages. They put on a fine show with every song bashed out in true
rock`n roll fashion,
determined to be faster and louder than everyone else.
From the opener Striptease the sound was excellent, raw but chrystal clear.
Ted`s bass was thrown onto the
floor a couple of times and the drums were spread all over the stage,
and the show was over as quick as it started.
The world needs more bands like this and The Space Cowboys need a full tour to
promote their stuff, when they come to a club near you DON`T MISS IT!
More reviews are coming up later on!!!
