VERSION 2.9 of NHL97 DB'S - Dec. 23/96
======================================

These are the most up-to-date rosters that are out right now... All team
lineups are as accurate as I could possibly make them (with some help from
other people).

Newest Changes Include:
=======================

(Version 2.9 - only change is smaller rosters.hdb file, now you can edit your
 current seasons with Blomman's editor!  Don't know how stable it is yet, so
 e-mail me if there are any problems.)

- Changed all the player's shooting hands so they were correct (thanks to
  Superglue)
- All team rosters exactly the same as listed on www.nhl.com
- Adjusted team lines

* Look for updates on player numbers and new created players to come out
  on WEEKENDS only... Too busy with school, but I will post new rosters
  with any new player transactions (ie. trades) during the week.

History of Changes to DB's:
===========================

- Full team lineups (exactly the same as listed on www.nhl.com)
- Every Player Number is correct
- Edited All player positions to what they should be (ie. Linden at C, Bure at
  RW, Deadmarsh at RW, etc.)
- Changed Player's shooting hands (the one's that were wrong, ie. Jagr)
- Edited attributes for players based on this season - constantly
- Rosters based on 96-97 season
- Constantly Updating team lineups

some injured players (the major ones) are still in the lineup. (ie. Claude
Lemieux, Mikael Pivonka, etc.), but players out for the season
(ie. Jeff Brown, Stan Neckar, etc.) are taken out of the starting lineup.

FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE INSTALLING THE DB'S!

Make sure you delete ALL user logs before installing the db's.  They cannot be 
transported from update to update (don't know why).  If you do not do this, 
then you will not be able to view the user records statistics again.  So, be 
warned, if you want the updated rosters, and don't mind losing your user records, 
then use the db's. But if you want to keep your records, your going to have to do 
the editing of rosters and lines yourself from scratch!  (you cannot use ANY roster
updates as  you will always get this problem, same goes for swapping files to a 
friend to play over modem.

How To Install the db's:
========================

unzip the roster file into your NHL97/DATA directory overwriting the files
when it prompts you to.  Have fun!
