I'm not replacing my friend Shumi!
It was a couple of exciting days in Silverstone,
and I feel it already easy to share my thoughts and feelings.
The accident of my friend Michael Schumacher still engage me. The question about the cause
of the accident is one thing, the fear over my beast friend in formula one the other one.
If Michaels injuries would have been worse, I would not have taken the restart in my
Sauber!
I hade one thougt in my head during the race, that
was a failure again, and that was to get to the Northampton hospital as fast as possible.
The Schumachers, Kumika and I was at the Beach at
Sardinia for over one week, and now Michalel is lying there. But he is well, he laugh,
make joke, play cards. And on Tuesday mornig I visited him again and guess who I met? Old
rival Damon Hill.
I was very suprised that On Sunday, everyone seemed
to to think that I now would take over Michaels drive in the Ferrari. Only because I drove
for the "red ones" 1991 to 1995, wich Istill love.
But it is not possible. I would love to drive for Ferrari in 2000 along Michael, however
not as a substitute for my friend.
Such a change would not have been good for Sauber, wich have a Ferrari engine by the way.
We need every point in Hinwill, and the car gives us some hope of optimism. However I soon
would like to know how the Swiss wants the team and my future.
I do not have to run around with a poster saying: For sale!
Everyone knows that my motivation is undoubted, that I fight in every race to the limit.
If that not is appreciated in formula 1, then I will end my career in America! Yes I have
asked around there already.
