Jean Alesi:
Waht can I say? In the past we had no rules, and drivers could zigzag and block and nothing was done. But now we have a Commission which watches us specifically, to see that what we do is corect. I don't know what happened to Trulli before he hit me, and I don't particularly care, but every start it seems he does something like this. There are people whose job it is to judge drivers like this, and it is time that they give them some really heavy sentences.

Pedro Diniz:
I made a great start and was 10th at the end of the first lap. Things went pretty well up until the safety car came out for the second time, but then I lost two places, to Ralf and Johnny, on the restart. I lost out when I tried to take advantage as Ralf went into the gravel momentarily. That was real shame, but after starting 18th, finishing sixth isn't so bad, especially after the weekend got off to a difficult start on Friday morning.

Peter Sauber:
Pedro made an excellent start and drove a great race to score his first point for us. This was very important for him and for the team. Jean had high expectations today and felt very optimistic, but the accident with Trulli needs no further explanation. I hope that the FIA will punish him so hard that he will come to his senses for further races. Since Barcelona the team has produced a competitive car, and for this they have my compliments.

Sorry saturdays comments are lost in translation I will bring them as sonn as possible

Friday

Jean Alesi:
Today I enjoyed myself very much, maybe because it is my birthday! The car felt very good, even when we tried it in a number of different conditions. I don't know yet whether we have found the right one for tomorrorw, but I'm optimistic because it felt good whatever we tried today. This afternoon I had a few adventures, but that's because I really like this type of circuit, where you can work on the limit and overstep it at times without risking damage.

Pedro Diniz:
This morning the car seemed pretty competitive, but as I went down to the first turn at around 290 kph I had a brake probelm. My car was launched over the kerb and flew backwards into the gravel trap, before hitting the tyre wall hard. It was a pretty frightening experience! I hurt my neck a little and banged my knees, but otherwise I'm fine and looking forward to tomorrow.

Peter Sauber:
Congratulations to Jean for fourth fastest time and because it's his birthday, but let's remember this is Friday. Nevertheless, I think we are able to continue the positive trend we showed in Barcelona. Unfortunately, Pedro was only able to do a few laps because of his crash this morning.
