Friday Free Practice:
"I am very satisfied with my first day of the season. I ran many laps with no
difficulties except for a small problem with the brakes that hindered my driving a little.
Now we will have to work on the set-up for tomorrow. The first day of the season is always
the hardest because one does not have a clear idea of where the competition is, but I am
pleased to see we are in good position. The circuit has not changed from last year, at
least not noticeably. Since it is not a permanent track some points are bound to be a
little dangerous but considering they have had to work within the restrictions of this
park, it is a very good job they have done."
Saturday Qualifying:
"We struggled a lot today trying to get grip from the car as the circuit's
temperature came up this afternoon. We did not seem to get the tyres working very well and
that's why our qualifying position is so poor to day."
Sunday Race:
"I am obviously extremely disappointed. I had a very good start and was having a very
good race. I lost radio contact with the team and did not realise that it was time for me
to come into the pits for refuelling. I came to stop and it was a terrible feeling to
waste the race for such a silly reason." |
