Emulsion transfer, a process for removing and transfering the top image layer of Polaroid prints, is an exciting but not unique method of photography’s most new developments. But when Peraxel back in 1996 came up with the idea of applying the emulsion to various platematerials, it was a never before tried method. The emulsion layer are transfered to patinated and polished iron, zink, copper or brassplates. The polariod print are 8"x10", and the plates measure 40x50 cm. Because of the stunning hologram alike effect being very hard to convey in an ordinary photograph, you can view a couple of videoshootings of the plates by clicking the links below. The movies are in Quicktime format. |
