-- Australian rocker Michael Hutchence of INXS and Danish model Helena Christensen have split up, sad and still loving each other, his publicist announced Friday.
Hutchence, 35, made tabloid front pages in Britain this week when he was found in the company of Paula Yates, 36, estranged wife of rocker Bob Geldof, 40.
``Despite the current media furor, the parting is perfectly amicable and they still love and are in contact with each other,'' said a statement from publicists Poole Edwards.
The statement added: ``Both parties expressed sadness at the decision. Media pressures have obviously not made the situation any easier.'' Christensen, 26, was quoted in this week's Hello! magazine as claiming she and Hutchence had ``a very steady relationship.''
