On a cold winter day shortly after Christmas, 25th of December 1968 a baby saw the light for the first time.
Her father came from Denmark and her mother is Peruvian
When she was 4 years old she got a baby sister that got the name Anita
She was raised in Copenhagen until the age of 12 where she moved to Canada alone for a month.
She did not dream of being a top model but according to her mother she always liked to pose in front of camera. It was her mother who send some pictures to the French ELLE Helena took an exam dont`t know what in Copenhagen
She made a trip to Elle studio ( in Paris? ) and should be in a casting ( the photographer had collected some models to pick one out (Dream work !) ).The photographer had a easy job. Friedemann Hauss said "Under my carrier I have seen many girls pass by. When Helena came to the studio, and even before I talked to her, I knew that I was facing a
great personality. There was a kind of electric excitement between me and Helena. I must say that it is unusual with this kind of meeting and it can lead to big mistakes." Shortly after, Friedmann called Helena and wanted to shoot some photos on the beaches of Normandy (the H day). The resulted in a series of excellent photos of Helena.
