Baader Meinhof

Baader Meinhof is Luke Haines side project and the band also include Auteurs cellist/theramin player James Banbury. Check out the member list for the rest of the members in Baader Meinhof. The name Baader Meinhof is taken from the German terrorist group, active during the 60:s and 70:s. The terrorist group was formed by Andreas Baader and Ulrike Meinhof who both comitted suicide in the late seventies (in later years many evidence points to that they were murdered inside prison, at least Andreas, to prevent more terror actions from the members on the outside) . There is still today a organization active "based" on the Baader Meinhof group in the shape of RAF . If you're interested in the history of the terrorist organisation, I recomend you to read the books "Hitler's Children (by Jillian Becker) & "Baader Meinhof" (by Stefan Aust). There are also two movies about "Baader Meinhof" called "Stammheim" (1986) & "Todesspeil" (1997), however, these movies are very hard to get, at least the one from 1986.
