Michal Owen first became a world star football player when he scored the fantastic goal in the World Cup´98 against Argentina in the eightpartfinal. But eaven with the goal of Michael, they lost against Argentina in penalties after 2-2 in full time. Michael Owen scored his penalty with a very good and hard strike high up in the left side of the goal via the post.He only made two goals in the WC but it was his first, and he wasn´t official in the first match.Michael Owen is now playing in Liverpool, and he has played there for a long time. After the WC he said no to some offers from other club and mayby that was quite smart because he´s so young and now he has the time to develop in his old club. It´s going very well for Michael in Liverpool and he often scores many goals.
