Well, this is what soon will be my ex job, when I am about to move abroad... but please read it anyway!
When I was younger I liked the pop-group 'Sparks'. They had a song called 'At home at work at play'. In the other sites here in my homepage you already could read this and that about my home and my sparetime, so here we go, now it is time to introduce my work to you.
In the town called Sävsjö there is a company where I have the big pleasure to be employed. We manufacture different things in steel. What do I do, one can ask... Well, I make the coffee, put in new paper in the xerox, answer the phone and so on. No acually I do a little more than this. The days often start with me to be the first one to arrive to the office. When I have started all the computers, printers and xeroxes and also unlocked the doors I sit down by my desk and start to dig in the pile of most important papers.
About this time the other two office-girls arrives. Goodmorning goodmorning talk talk talk and then it's time to really start to work. Often I have not a clue about what is going to happend during the day. Which coustomers will call? New orders? New offers? Any complaints (NOOOOOO)? Most of the time at work I shall spend with "making orders ready to be manufactured" and constructions and yes some days it is like this, but other days I mostly run around out in the workshop or do something comletely different that has to be done.
The workshop. Now we are out in the heart of the company. It is here everything is created. In oposite to us in the office, these guys acually do something. We, the "office-rats" (haha Swedish expression) only move papers from one pile to another and then into a folder or something. In this pic you can see Claes and Patrik weld a steel-door-frame (door-frames are what I mostly is involved with). I think it is a S2C frame with a stainless bottom in the picture. Judging from the size (they use both the welding tables) it is a two-doors-frame. If you look very carfully (and knows something about steelframes haha) you can se that the frame also have a "back-protection". Haha these kind of frames the guys don't like. They are more complicated to put together with a good result. But when everybody in the workshop are very good in what they do there are often no problems.
This dear readers is some of my fellow-workers. To those who didn't get here, please tell me and bring me a pic and I promise you to be here soon. To those who are here and absolutely don't wanna, ask me nice and maybe I will take your pic away.
Click on the guy that you want to read more about.... but don't believe everything you read (haha)!
The end

My slow computer
This is my computer at work. Not at all as fast and full of power as the one I have at home, but this one is not mine, it is the company's computer, so I guess it is alright. Better to have the good one at home (haha), don't you agree?

The most important folder
In this folder I have all the important information I can't keep in my brain. It contains prizes, meassures and a lot of different things you can't be without for a second at work.

Patrik
You just clicked on Patrik. He knows most of the things worth knowing in the workshop. He runs a machine that punch holes in the steelsheets and at the moment (May 1999) he also operate a machine that bends the steelsheets. Zac is also an ICQ-guy and he is working with his own homepage (check links!!).

Andreas
Now you chose Andreas. Andreas is the excellent guy who arrange our deliveries to be delivered. When he doesn't do this, he is our handy-man, if you want something done - ask Andreas! Really a good guy!

Ronny
Right now you clicked on Ronny, our master of cutting. Ronny cuts the steelsheets and he also fix some details in the steelframes for our largest coustomer. Ronny is a very good runner with several marathons in his legs.

Kjell
Ooops, now you acually clicked on one of the workshop-supervisors. The things Kjell doesn't know about steelworks is not worth knowing. Right now (May 1999) he has a plaster bandage on his leg.... Hahaha old men should not do sports!!

Tommy
Finn-Power Tommy (Well Tommy isn't from Finland, Finn-Power is the name of his mashine). This my friends is the champ of punching mashines. I wonder if he is angry with the steelsheets when he always punch a lot of holes in it haha?? Hi, Tommy, watched any Tractor-Pulling lately?

Ann-Louise
Now you clicked on Ann-Louise and disturbed her in an important phonecall. Anne does the "making orders ready to be manufactured" for our largest coustomer, but I guess she knows everything about work in the office since she has been here an eternity. We make jokes and laugh a lot together.
