Greater Stockholm is divided into 18 administrative districts. Each district is run by its own local council which makes decisions, about questions covering school day care, care of elderly people, psychiatry, culture and social welfare. This community is called Fairies Lake. Fairies Lake got its first railway station 1879 and at the turn of the century the community started to grow. Today this district has 20000 inhabitants and its own centre with couple of shops, restaurants and a famous bakery. The households are 2245 with children 0-15 years old, of those are 382 sin-gle parents. There are not so many people who live on social assistant in this district; there are about 7% of the population and the people who are unemployed are less then 5%. The immigrant rate is about 17% in this community and most of these people are located in the Sun Mountain area. The people who live in this community are in whole well situated, when it comes to work, there is a low rate of unemployed living here and the people who live on social benefit are few compered to other communities in Stockholm. One problem is that the immigrants and the refugees are segregated into one area. In this area of the community the unemployed rate is much higher and the people who lives on income assistant or social benefit are more or less located there. It is also a fact that the immigrants have a hard time to get into the Swedish society. Fairies Lake is divided into different areas; the area with big houses and the area were you have apartments you can rent. So you can say that we have one rich area and one poor area. The schools struggle to get as many pupils as possible, because they are getting money for each student. A problem is that if a school is getting a bad reputation, they will start to loose students and they will start to loose money for these pupils. In the end that means they can not get the resources that it needs.
