The first-ever Seven driven by Lotus racer driver Edward Lewis. This first Seven had a de Dion rear end and disc brakes from a Lotus Eleven. Read more about it in "The birth of the Lotus Seven".
The JPE or Jonathan Palmer Evolution is probably the fastest "standard" Seven
yet. It produces a massive 250 bhp which gives the car an acceleration
from 0 to 100 km/h (60 mph) in under 3.5 secs, and a top speed of over
240 km/h (150 mph). It also is faster than a Ferarri F40 in 0-100-0 mph,
in just 12.6 secs.
The Prisoner is a cult TV series, first aired in the late 1960s. A Lotus Seven Series II (registration plate KAR 120C) was used in the series. Some of the series was filmed at Portmeirion in North Wales.
