Personal sites and such

Gustav Björeman's homesite

My brother's site. Not sure what's currently on it, or if it's in English or Swedish ...

Martin Gunnarsson's website

One of my friends. A bit the same style as my site, and often even more entertaining. Join the fanclub! In Swedish.

Justin Hall's site

One of the legends of the 'net, they say. Practically publishes his whole life online. Go here, and realize that content is everything, not backgrounds and Java.

Magnus Callmyr's site

Meeting a person very briefly in real life makes it really interesting to read his diary (see 24/6 for some more explanation) ...

Stood amongst friends

Homesite of one Bonnie Chan, another Hong Kong friend and writer of great emails. The journal is off limits to casual visitors though.

Trading Card Games

A site made by me, in Swedish, about Trading Card Games (you know, Magic: the Gathering and such).

Useful software

ACE

Here it is! The RAR-beater! Smaller, better, slower or something!

Hotmail

Free web-based E-mail. Now, that's something one can always use ...

Microsoft

Lots of useful stuff here, if you can find it ...

Mirabilis

The people behind ICQ, the great, and still free, chat program. You can get it here, of course, but it's not all that easy to navigate ...

RAR

A program for file compression, like Winzip. RAR, however, handles .rar-files, a slower but even more compressed format. Very good!

RealPlayer

For streaming sound and video.

Shockwave

For interactive sites, animations and sound.

Winamp

Plays CD's, Mp3's, Wav's, MOD's and just about any other sound format you can think of. Also has thousands of plugins and millions of skins available, just to keep you going.

Winzip

The best (?) program for working with those ever-present .zip-files. Get it, you'll need it.

Misc. useful sites

FiringSquad

Tough competition for Gamespot for the spot as favourite games-related site. Seems to update more nowadays than Gamespot, have more interesting articles, and I like the design better. Love those quick facts too ...

Flashback

Sweden's largest underground information site. Remember to sign up for Flashback News Agency, the newsletter which allows everyone to make their voice heard.

Gamecenter

Nice games site, used by me as a complement for Gamespot.

Gamespot

My favourite games-related site.

Sunet

The Swedish University Network has the, probably, largest and fastest FTP server for us here in Sweden. Most files you could possibly be looking for can probably be found here, along with eight million files you've never looked for.

Tom's hardware

All the information you'll ever need on the latest computer hardware. At times quite technical.

Website garage

Checks all aspects of your homepage/site, and tells you what it thinks of it.

Windows 98 Annoyances

A site dedicated to Windows 98 and all the little tweaks you can do to make it work the way you want. There is also a corresponding site for Windows 95, much of the content is the same on both though.

Other official sites

Battlecruiser Online

Official Battlecruiser games site. I read the soapbox there and also found out a bit about Derek Smart, his vision and the problems he's had. What a guy!

Björemans bud och specialtransporter

My uncle's transport company, site designed by me.

Blizzard Entertainment

These guys shouldn't really need an introduction ...

Digger

Not really official, but the closest thing. The Digger remastered homesite holds everything you'll ever need to know or download concerning Digger. Ah, nostalgia ...

Internetworld

Great paper, useful site. Information and news, in Swedish, about and for the net. Also good pages on HTML and other related stuff.

K-D Lab

Developers of Vangers ...

Lionhead

Lionhead, Peter Molyneux's company. Great looking site containing, among other things, a very funny diary.

The Neverhood

Makers of the game with the same name, site and game also share the same klay design. Surf in and send them an angry mail telling them to update!

Parkhallen

Where I work ... Online store for us in the Örebro region.

PC Format

About anything for the PC. One of the best, if not the best.

RT soft

Creators of the now free game Dink Smallwood. Also has a few other free programs for download.

Seinfeld

The TV show, what did you expect?

Snarl-up Software

Our official website, check it out!

Westwood Studios

You know, Command & Conquer ... Be careful though, this site used to lock up Explorer completely when I used IE 4!

Humour

Avigsidan

If you understand Swedish, this page is a goldmine of brainless translations and other language-related humor.

Knäppa klipp

A site filled with short, and very funny, bits from newspapers and medical journals. In Swedish.

Movie Mistakes

Not strictly humour, but a very entertaining, and vast, database of odd things and mistakes in movies. It makes you want to see those movies again, just to find those things, and it makes you wonder how you could miss some of them.

The Onion

More fun, in English this time. A newspaper written in the right serious style, but with news that may be somewhat ... strange. Read all about the brand new tenth circle of Hell, among other news.

Music

Alanis Morissette

No problem figuring out why she has sold so many records.

Beastie Boys

Rap music that's very easy listening to, and with lots of cool samples.

Chumbawamba

Have you heard Thubthumper? It's good alright, but the album just keeps getting better from there.

Cornershop

Another of the groups I listen to. Lots of inspiration from India.

Kent

Great pop/rock music with very interesting and deep lyrics.

Liberator

Ska? Oh, yes, it is!

Pock

My brother's music fanzine (and now I'm getting involved too ...). In Swedish.

The Best Game Music in the World ... EVER !

Prestigious name, I know, but I often agree. It's mod music of different kinds, and jolly good it is too!

The Soundtrack of our lives

More great music.

Videogames Music Preservarion Archive

It's mod music man! Hear for yourself what it should sound like.

Mixed Bag

Doom Legacy

Doom's back, and it's upgraded for the new century! Can't beat the real stuff ...

Juggling.org

Start juggling, it's fun! Here you'll find all the info and tutorials and stuff you can possibly ask for.

Loonygames

This one's odd. It is games related, but it is in its very own way. Read lengthy articles on different aspects of game creation, Nocturne from the eyes of a movie critic, and other interesting stuff.

Spud Server

Yes, it's a server. And yes, it's run on potatoes. Also check out all surviving records of project Eunuch (now that's what I call overclocking) ...

All the search engines you'll ever need (and a few more for good measure)!
